(Eastern Tennesse has many scenic drives)
The small community of Clinton is situated in one of Tennessee's most scenic regions. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just one hour from town, and just to the south of Clinton one will find lakes and branches of the Tennessee River. Local parks also provide residents with a variety of outdoor and indoor activities.
Clinton is strategically located about one hour north of Knoxville, home of the University of Tennessee. While residents may enjoy the peaceful character of Clinton, the larger city amenities are close at hand. In addition, attractions such as The American Museum of Science and Energy, located in nearby Oak Ridge, provide a greater variety of sights to see. The towns immediately surrounding Clinton are havens for bed and breakfasts and other unique shops and restaurants.
Clinton is located along US 25W and is just 20 miles from Knoxville. Several transportation routes allow convenient access to downtown Knoxville and Oak Ridge, as well as the quaint towns in the area.
