The altitude of Fort Collins is 5,003 ft and is approximately 60 miles north of Denver and 40 miles south of Cheyenne.
Fort Collins is the home of Colorado State University (CSU) and Front Range Community College. We have a wonderful symphony orchestra, a number of theatre and dance groups and many art galleries. During the summer you can spend a comfortable evening outdoors listening to free concerts at various local parks, downtown and Colorado State University.
Colorado is home to several professional sports teams: The Denver Broncos; The Avalanche hockey team; The Nuggets basketball team; and the Colorado Rockies baseball team. Colorado State University competes in many sports including football, men's and women's basketball, and women's volleyball. Fort Collins Soccer club provides opportunities for several thousand youths to play every spring and fall. The city's EPIC Center provides facilities for swimming and ice skating.

Fort Collins also has excellent medical care. Poudre Valley Hospital is the local trauma center and there are many excellent doctors in all specialties.
